Our Promise
You come to bodenvy to feel confident in your body. You should feel just as confident about how we handle your information. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, and the choices that are always yours.
The Short Version
- We never sell your personal information for money. No one pays us for your data.
- Your health information is off-limits for marketing. Consultations, treatment records, photos, and program details are never shared with advertisers. Period.
- We do use trusted marketing partners. Like nearly every business, we work with advertising and analytics platforms to let people know about bodenvy. Some state laws call this "sharing," and you can turn it off anytime.
- You are in control. Access, correct, delete, or opt out — the tools are on this page and our Do Not Sell or Share page, and using them never affects your ability to book or receive services.
- Answering your questions and scheduling your appointments
- Providing and improving our services and website
- Sending appointment reminders and service messages
- Marketing bodenvy — our offers, our news — where you have opted in
- Measuring and improving our own advertising
- Security, fraud prevention, and meeting our legal obligations
- Service providers. Companies that work for us under contract — booking, hosting, payment processing, communications — may handle your data only to provide their service to us, nothing else.
- Advertising and analytics partners. To market our own business, we may disclose contact details you provide and device/interaction data to platforms like Google and Meta — for measuring ads, showing relevant bodenvy offers, and reaching people similar to our clients. This is only ever to aid our own marketing. Under some state laws this counts as "selling" or "sharing," which is why our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page [link] gives you a one-click way out.
- Health information: never. Health, consultation, and treatment data is excluded from all of the above and is governed by our Health Information Privacy policy.
- Legal. We disclose information when the law requires it, such as a subpoena, or to protect safety and prevent fraud.
- Know what personal information we have about you and get a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Opt out of ad-related sharing and targeted advertising
- No retaliation, ever — same prices, same service, whatever you choose
What We Collect
Information you give us
Name, email, phone, and state when you fill out a form, request pricing, or book; appointment details; messages you send us; payment details when you purchase (processed by our payment providers); and, if you become a client, consultation and treatment information handled under our Health Information Privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
Device identifiers, IP address, region, browser type, and how you interact with our pages, forms, and ads — via cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Notice. Non-essential cookies load only after you say yes in our cookie banner.
How We Use Your Information
When We Share Information
Your Rights — Every State, Every Visitor
Whatever state you live in, we extend these rights to you:
To exercise any right, email privacy@bodenvy.com or call (855) 918-4071. We verify know/correct/delete requests to protect you (never with sensitive documents), respond within your state's required timeline (generally 45 days), and if we ever deny a request, we tell you why and you may appeal by replying to our decision; we answer appeals within your state's required window, and you can always contact your state Attorney General.
Opt-out requests are honored without identity verification. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it automatically as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising.
How Long We Keep Information
Prospect and marketing data: as long as we have an active relationship with you, then deleted or de-identified on a routine schedule. Client treatment records: a minimum of seven years, consistent with medical record standards. Data needed for legal, tax, or dispute purposes: as long as the law requires.
How We Protect It
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, U.S.-based servers, staff training, and periodic security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your information is a responsibility we take personally.
Children
Our services and website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we never sell or share it. If you believe we have such data, contact us and we will delete it.
The Details (State-Specific and Legal)
California
Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (appointments, purchases); internet activity (pages, forms, and ads you interact with); and, for clients, health information handled under our Health Information Privacy policy and never sold or shared. Categories disclosed for advertising purposes: identifiers and internet activity, to advertising networks and analytics providers. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, do not use it to infer characteristics, and do not knowingly sell or share data of consumers under 16. California residents also have the right to limit use of sensitive personal information and the right to non-discrimination.
Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other opt-out states
You have the rights listed above, including appeal rights where your state provides them. We honor universal opt-out mechanisms including GPC.
Maryland
We apply data minimization to all collection and do not sell sensitive data, consistent with the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act.
Washington and Nevada consumer health data
Interest in body-contouring or weight-loss services can itself be "consumer health data" under Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada law. Our Health Information Privacy page serves as our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, describes the limited collection and use of such data, and explains your rights, including deletion. We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it for advertising.
Who we are
